Welcome Messages of CBCE 2023
Dear visitors and exhibitors,
we are delighted to welcome you to the CRAFT BEER CHINA Conference & Exhibition 2023 (CBCE) - for the first time here at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.
At CBCE 2023, we expect around 200 leading companies in the industry - surpassing the pre-pandemic scale! And that makes the CBCE the most important platform for knowledge exchange and strategies for the craft beer industry.
Difficult years of the pandemic are behind us. Now we are excited that we have overcome the pandemic. The relief in the pandemic policy since January makes it possible that we can finally all meet again - at the Conference & Exhibition, but also with family and friends for a fine craft beer!
The end of the pandemic period is giving the Chinese craft beer industry a strong boost. We see three major trends across the country. First, people love to get together - and enjoy. Post-pandemic, this is leading to a new era of consumption. Consumers are drinking beer at get-togethers and bistro business models or "food + beer" offers are becoming more popular all over China.
Secondly, we see a strong trend of diversification in the beer offer. New players are constantly entering the craft beer industry in all sizes - breweries and brewpubs, but also large beer companies.
And thirdly, they all bring new ideas to this innovative market. New types of beer and drinks are coming onto the market, such as non-alcoholic beer, hard seltzer, beer with gin or whiskey. These new ideas are blurring the boundaries between Craft Beer, high and low alcoholic drinks.
As a premium conference for the craft beer industry, CBCE 2023 expects around 50 executives from leading Chinese and foreign companies. Brand managers, industry experts, academics and investment institutes will jointly discuss a status quo of China's craft beer industry and look into the future. Important questions will be focused on the status of the macroeconomic environment, the positioning of the brand strategy and the guidelines for shop operations. In addition, the CBCE 2023 Conference will bring back its technical session, where brewers will brainstorm and share domestic and foreign highlights of brewing technology.
