CBCE Exhibitor Preview | First Batch of Innovative Alcoholic Beverage Brands Join CBCE 2027 — What Market Signals Are They Sending?

8-14-2026,

Innovative alcoholic beverages are emerging as a new variable in the craft beer industry. Hard soda, fruit wine, tea-infused alcohol, ready-to-drink cocktails and more are constantly expanding the boundaries between “beer” and “alcoholic beverages.” With lighter flavors, more design-driven visuals and consumption occasions closer to everyday life, these categories are quietly capturing the attention of a new generation of young consumers. As craft beverages move beyond the traditional definition of beer, an expansion centered on “freedom of flavor” is already underway.

As a leading industry event with more than a decade of experience, CBCE serves as a full-industry-chain platform connecting brewing ingredients, production equipment, craft beer brands, food pairing, cultural and creative products, and end consumption. This broader perspective reflects a growing consensus across the industry: the next decade of craft beer will not be defined by isolated competition for existing market share, but by a more diverse and collaborative ecosystem.

So far, seven innovative alcoholic beverage brands have confirmed their participation in CBCE 2027 as the first batch of exhibitors. Coming from different niche segments, they have all chosen CBCE as the stage for their 2027 industry debut. What makes this annual industry spotlight so attractive?

FARMentation

FARMentation is a rural brewing practice created by a group of brewers. Reflecting on the relationship between people, land and food, we advocate the philosophy of “free growth and brewing with everything nature provides,” using brewing as a way to empower rural communities and create beautiful countryside.

“Everything Can Be Brewed” — a brewers’ rural practice and a farm-to-bottle brewing program featuring locally sourced Chinese fruits.

“Revival Project” — innovative interpretations of traditional grape varieties and historic wine-producing regions in China.

“Terroir in Every Sip” — exploring the unique terroir of high-altitude vineyards in Shangri-La, Yunnan.

Shangyun Food

We visit coffee shops across different regions to understand local cultures and taste preferences, focusing our R&D on fruit, floral and botanical flavors, sugar-free flavored water and tea notes. By capturing the dietary characteristics and preferences of different regions, we develop high-quality ingredients that are stable and adaptable to a wide range of coffee shops and beverage outlets.

At the same time, with authenticity, low sugar and innovation as our starting points, we are redefining how flavored syrups can express flavor.

Xiaojiu Cider

Sascha from Germany’s cider-producing heartland of Hesse and Peng, united by their passion for traditional brewing culture, brought a century-old family brewing heritage to Beijing and co-founded Xiaojiu Cider. They value the authentic character of handcrafted fruit beverages, carefully selecting quality ingredients while honoring nature and the dedication of fruit growers.

During their travels across Europe, they experienced the diverse revival of cider culture firsthand — from Germany’s Apfelwein and the UK’s Cider, to France’s Cidré, Spain’s Sidra, and China’s own cider traditions. They invite you to discover and savor this diverse world of cider together.

Huan Zhi Ji — Draft Cocktails

Founded in Liuzhou, China, in 2024, Huan Zhi Ji is one of China’s earliest draft cocktail brands.

The brand extracts flavors from botanicals, spices and ingredients sourced from around the world, incorporating the diversity of botanical flavors into cocktails to create unique flavor experiences. It has also developed a standardized product system for draft cocktails.

SENSEVOL

SENSEVOL is short for Sensory Evolution, and can also be understood as “SENSE + VOL.” We remain passionate about sensing, exploring and redefining the possibilities of beer.

The Chinese name, “玄水屋” (Xuan Shui Wu), can literally be interpreted as “a place of magical water.” Brewing itself is something of a mystery, making beer a fascinating and almost magical beverage. In classical Chinese, “玄水” can also refer to “the water of the north.” As a brewing brand based in Xi’an, a city in northwest China, we brew our beer with “water from the north.”

In other words, Xuan Shui Wu is a place in the north dedicated to exploring the mysteries and possibilities of beer.

Lunan Brewing

Shanghai Aogu Liquor Co., Ltd.

According to the 2025 New Alcoholic Beverage Industry Development Report, China’s new alcoholic beverage market is expected to reach RMB 135.1 billion in 2025, with a CAGR of 37.18% from 2020 to 2025, making it one of the fastest-growing segments in the alcoholic beverage industry.

More importantly, the core consumers of this category closely overlap with the core audience of craft beer — young consumers with strong flavor awareness who are willing to pay for quality and experiences.

Today, craft beer bars in China are evolving into integrated social spaces combining craft beer + low-alcohol beverages + food pairing. In this transformation, innovative alcoholic beverages have become an essential piece of the puzzle. They not only expand consumption occasions within bars, but also help reach consumers with different preferences.

CBCE has been closely tracking this fundamental industry shift. According to previous show data, 14.29% of exhibitors have already expanded into innovative alcoholic beverage categories, and this proportion continues to grow.

CBCE connects these emerging categories with its craft beer ingredients, equipment and brand exhibition zones, making innovative alcoholic beverages an integral part of the evolving craft beer ecosystem.
